Graduation Announcements

I posted Tips for Planning a homeschool graduation some time back.  Here you can find the variety of graduation ceremonies we have had for our five graduates.

But, as May draws near, as well as another graduation from our homeschool, it is time to think about how that will look for this student.

Our sixth graduate will have a Senior Voice Recital for his 'ceremony'.  He doesn't want a lot of pomp and circumstance.  He is happy to do what he loves to do - sing.

With that in mind, I need to get his senior photos taken and have recital/graduation invitation/announcements printed.

For photos, I will take some casual ones with my camera, but will also have studio portraits made at the local studio we have used since my senior, Jesse, was a baby.  Actually, we have used this studio since my oldest daughter was a baby.

Even though it is mid-March, I am not too concerned about the time frame for printing announcements because I plan to use Shutterfly/Tinyprints to have them printed.

I have used Shutterfly for other announcements and cards and their turn around time is very quick.  It has usually been a week or less from the time I ordered until I received my order.  I have always been very pleased with the quality I receive from Shutterfly.

They frequently have specials and right now, new customers can get $25 off a $75 order plus free shipping, plus 10FREE graduation announcements (thru 3/17/2015).  I just love a good deal!  If you are planning to order graduation announcements, I didn't want you to miss this deal.

If you plan to have a graduation ceremony and a graduation party, or maybe you are planning a ceremony and a recital, consider making a double sided invitation with both events on one card.  You can see how I did this here.

Your homeschooling journey was unique to your student and the graduation celebration should also be unique to your student.  Whatever you are planning, enjoy celebrating this accomplishment!

Yeah I had read your post on Tips for planning a home-school graduation. It was very informative post. So I got here back to read some more stuff. Hey I need some ideas for hosting a vintage themed graduation party at outdoor venues in Chicago. Could you please help me in this?

Thanks for reading and thanks for asking, but I am not familiar with the Chicago area. If you want an outdoor venue, you could try your own (or a friends) backyard or a public park. As for vintage themed, I'm sure there are many ideas on Pinterest.
