Historical Fiction Review: Where Treetops Glisten

Sometimes I like a light, fun story.

Where Treetops Glisten, 3 stories by 3 authors about the same family during World War II, is a collection of heartwarming stories.  The first story, White Christmas, introduces the family through the daughter, Abigail.  Although the story is interesting, the conflict in the story isn't always believable.

The second story, I'll Be Home for Christmas, was my favorite of the three stories.
It involves the same family, but the main character is Abigail's brother, a fighter pilot who has come home from the war, but has to deal with his reputation from high school.

The third story, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, is also a good read.  The three stories combine life during the 1940's with the Turner family's struggles and faith in God.  It is a fun holiday read or just a story when you feel like a little historical romantic fiction.

Even though the titles all include 'Christmas', the stories would be a fun read any time of the year.  So, whether you are stuck inside and need to curl up by the fire with a good book, or it is the middle of summer and you need a beach book, check out Where Treetops Glisten.

I received a free copy of this book from www.bloggingforbooks.org for this review.
